Mick has more than 30 years’ experience in the propulsion and mobility industry, initially in the component industry and then for the last 24 years in the consulting field.

 

His career began in the UK in , with T&N Plc, a global supplier of automotive components, working within the piston and ring divisions.  A move to the United States with T&N followed with a focus to grow the design and analysis functions.  In 1998 he joined Ricardo Inc serving in leadership roles of engine programs and simulation activities.

 

In 2006 Mick joined AVL Powertrain Engineering Inc., as Director of Engineering, becoming Vice President in 2012.  In this role he has led the engineering teams, operations teams, project management and business development functions.

 

In 2021 Mick was appointed CTO for AVL in North America, and supports across the AVL business units with a particular focus on technology development/transfer and investment planning.  In addition Mick is also responsible for the North American Simulation products business on an interim basis.
